The R1-Z was Yamaha's liquid-cooled two-stroke 250 parallel-twin sport bike. It made about 45 hp through a six-speed gearbox and was aimed at riders wanting a light, high-revving sports machine with a twin-disc front brake. This page covers the 1990-91 model years.
